The IDQ Portal software is a multi-tier application. The front-end software is the IDQ Portal Client, a Windows-based application, installed at the PC workstation of the operator.
Over the internet, the client is connected to a back-end application: IDQ Portal Server. This software is installed on VAX and Intel servers, maintained by AffinIT.
The IDQ Portal Server software is connected to directories in various countries, again over the internet.
